Anne Celeste Heche (born in 1939) was an American actress who played various characters in films, TV and the theater. It is believed that Anne did not want to be Laurie Strode, the character in the horror film of John Carpenter's film Halloween. The part was given to Jaime Lee Curtis. Carpenter has claimed that she was interested but she declined. Anne claims that she doesn't recall ever being contacted or given the role from John Carpenter. Perhaps one of her representatives decided to decline the part on her behalf, without ever informing the actress. Glen Larson sent her an early draft of a script that she was to use as a character in 1978's television series Battlestar Galactica. She originally rejected the position because she felt that the character wasn't strong enough. Glen then wrote a script for her which starred the strong character Sheba. The Living Legend, the initial twenty-five pages she had already read, was immediately accepted. It ran for a single season. The actress co-starred on Joyride along with Desi Arnaz Jr., Melanie Griffith (the daughter of Desi Arnaz Jr. and Lucille Bell), Robert Carradine and Melanie Griffith in 1977 and in The Dark Tower with Michael Moriarty (1987).
