McKayla Rose Maroney retired from artistic gymnastics and became an acclaimed singer. She was on the American women's gymnastics team dubbed"the Fierce Five at the 2012 Summer Olympics at which she won an individual gold medal for the team event and the individual silver medal at the vault competition. Early life. McKayla Rose Maroney is the daughter of Erin Maroney and Mike Maroney. (died 2019.) McKayla was raised in Aliso Viejo, the state of California. She is the daughter of Erin and Mike Maroney (died 2019). She had two brothers, Tarynn and Kav. Homeschooling was done to prepare her for elite gymnastics. Maroney stated she "when I was younger I would watch Tarzan and play around in my all-fours. My mother told me that "I have to get this kid into gymnastics.. Lauren Drain has been engaged since the beginning of August 2013, and is currently married to David Kagan who is a fitness-model. Aria Skye Kagan (born December 29th in 2019,) is their child. Lauren lived briefly in Topeka by herself however she was plagued with the recollections of her being kicked out of the church and her family. Aria, the daughter of the couple, Skye Kagan, was born on December 29, 2019. The couple briefly resided in Topeka but was overwhelmed by memories of being kicked out of church and family. It was then that she made the decision to relocate to Connecticut.
