
Catherine Jane Ford, born 5 December 1969 was a famous English comedian, actress, and writer. Tate has been nominated seven times in the BAFTAs, an International Emmy Award, and numerous other awards for her performance in BBC sketch comedy show The Catherine Tate Show (2004)-2007. Tate was Donna Noble's partner in Doctor Who's Christmas special in 2006. The actress later reprised her role and became the Tenth Doctor's regular companion in the fourth series of Doctor Who in 2008. [2] After The Catherine Tate Show's success, Tate played Joanie Taylor ("Nan") in the BBC One comedy series Catherine Tate's Nan (2009-2015) as well as in The Nan Movie (2022). In the year 2011, Tate was introduced to playing the role of Nellie Bertram in the U.S. version of The Office, and was a regular until the series ended. Tate portrayed the role of Miss Sarah Postern (2013-2014), and Magica de Spell (2017-2021) in the BBC One sitcom Big School. In 2022, Tate starred as six characters in the Netflix comedy series, Hard Cell, which she also wrote and directed.
